How to View Laptop Serial Number – The serial number is a unique number that functions as an identity for a product. Every electronic product, especially gadgets, such as laptops and notebooks, must have a different serial number.

In certain conditions, this serial number is really needed, but many of us don’t know how to see the laptop serial number.

Checking the laptop’s identity number is very necessary!

For example, when you want to buy a used laptop or a new laptop, to find out the authenticity of the laptop you have to check the serial number of the laptop, by matching the serial number on the packaging and on the laptop system itself.

The first way is to use the Windows system application, namely CMD (Command Prompt), the results are guaranteed to be accurate.

This tutorial can be done for all laptop brands and is applied specifically to Windows operating systems, such as Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10.

1. First open the application CMD.

To do this, press the button Windows + R simultaneously > type CMD > click OK/Enter.

The second method is similar to the first method, both use the command line and type commands. Following are the steps.

1. Open the app Windows PowerShell.
